Yoga Therapist
Duties and responsibilities: Physical therapists help patients who are recovering from injuries, illnesses, and surgery. They work with patients to help them regain movement, their momentum, their contentment and manage pain. This can be done in a hospital, nursing home, rehabilitation center, or a clinic. Besides working with patients they also have to fulfill their office duties, such as ordering supplies, answering phone calls, taking appointments, calling patients, and helping complete and file insurance paperwork.
Salary: $40,970
Education: to become one you must first have a yoga teaching qualification, you must also have had completes an approved yoga therapy course; if you want to regularly practice yoga, and you must have a high level of physical fitness and understand medical terms. To become an effective yoga therapist you should have good communication skills, motivation skills, and awareness over your clients.
Demand: Surprisingly it has been projected that by 2020 the need for this profession will have a growth of over 30 percent.
Upon completing my research on this profession I have come to the conclusion that I wish to maybe follow this path because of it’s high demand and what they do.
