Memorial Day Weekend

Image result for memorial day weekendOn this years Memorial Day weekend I, sadly, did not do much. My cousins visited and slept over for the weekend and we also visited our grandma, which we hadn't seen in awhile. I did not go out much other than that except to maybe run some errands. I did not meet anyone new, probably because I didn’t even go out. While I stayed in, my cousins and I did have fun. We played some games, watched a few movies and shows. Basically we were couch potatoes, we didn’t go out a lot. Once they did leave I did have to buckled down and do some homework. Sadly I did have quite a lot but at least it's the last couple of weeks only a few days left. Today is Wednesday now that means only seven more days of school and then we’re finally off to summer vacation.

North Korea

Image result for north koreaRecently in a couple of my classes the topic of communism has arose and with that in one class we saw a documentary about North Korea. North Korea’s political views are influenced heavily by communists. Before Korea split in two they were not communistic, it was not until after World War II and Korea split into North and South did North Korea became a communist country. After the war and the division of Korea North Korea became dominant and tried to overthrow South Korea, they failed. South Korea disagrees with the ideology of North Korea they made communism illegal. Communism may seem a good political view, but it's all about perspective. Communism, for those in power, might seem good but for the lower classes it is a nightmare. Your have no freedom what so ever. Everything is owned by the government, nothing is yours. Those in lower classes have to follow their rule or die, that is why communism is terrible. An average person starts to learn about their dictator at a very young age. They are taught only that their master is the greatest and nothing else. They have no internet, no books other than the ones who teach about the same topic, and no media outside of their country. This means they have no idea about anything outside of their country. They are brainwashed and praise their dictator without hesitation, they have no clue of the horrors they live through. This would not be an ideal spot to visit.

Spring Break

My spring break this year was not that memorable, I did not travel, or meet any new people, I didn’t even go out to see a new movie. Even if it was a “break” it didn’t really feel like a good break or a long enough break. I guess this was because I was working mostly everyday, waking up at 7 and working until 3 or 4, the days felt pretty long, but oddly the vacation didn’t feel long at all. Well when I wasn’t working I was either helping around my house: cleaning, organizing, excetera, or doing the homework I was assigned. I did have a little free time though which was fun I was able to visit my friends house and hang out for a little. All in all it was a good break from school even though we were still assigned homework to finish, even when we’re not in school we still got work to do. That is life never ending work till the end. There is good that comes out of working though. When you work hard you earn a lot. Those earnings the more you have the better life you can have. Of course money is not everything you also have to make the right decisions .

Thailand

Thailand is a country in the center of the Indochinese peninsula in Southeast Asia. Thailand is the world's 51st largest country. It is the 20th most populated country in the world, with around 66 million people. Their official language is Thai, but they also speak Isaan, Kam Mueang, and Pak Tai. In addition to that the Thai  alphabet has 32 vowels and 44 consonants. Their currency is Baht which is, compared to dollars, is a few cents. 35.08 Thai Bahts is only one US dollar. That is one of the reasons I would like to visit here because the trip would be cheap. One more reason that I chose this location as the place I would like to visit is because of their beaches. There are so many different unique islands to discover. I would take a long boat and sail from coast to coast. I would also like to see the fishes and what is underneath the surface of the water. I would snorkel and dive. Seeing their aquatic life would definitely be cool. Once I get out of the water I'll lay on the white sandy beaches made of coral shells, which is another reason I would like to visit. Finally, one more reason I would like to visit is the food. People may think that Thai food is the best food in the world or one of the best, so i would like to see if that is true. That is why I would like to visit Thailand if I ever got the opportunity to during a vacation.

My Christmas Vacation

During my three weeks of for christmas I did not do that much. My days were wake up work and go back to sleep, well atleast most of them. Some days I would be able to just sleep in and not get up until I wanted too. Every Sunday I would get up early and run with SRLA over the break we ran two half marathons. Those were fun even though I was really tiered by the end. I was really tired after the first one because before, during and after the run it was raining. The rain was fun but it also made my clothes heavy and my socks wet, running in the rain is fun though and I recommend it.  On actual Christmas day we spent it at my grandmas house, we had fun. We distributed presents and it was nice to hang out with my family. For the new year we decided to go out instead of staying in. We went to Nevada and it was freezing. The temparutre was always below 30 degrees fahrenheit. I know that there are other places that are way colder but to me it was freezing, but all things cosidered it was fun. Those were my first two weeks and the third and final week was my homework week. The last week I finished all my homework, it was only for one class but it was quite an amount. It was to read and anotate a entire book, as well as do three essays. All in all the homework was not that difficult. The break as a whole I think was pretty fun and relaxing, although I did get sick for a few days and that was no fun. Other than that it was a good little break.
