"You will go far with CTR"

You will go far. You will go far in school, in your job, in life if you choose the right. Choosing the right is always the best choice. Choosing the right should be your only choice. Choosing the right should be the only choice you have. If you are ever faced with a difficult situation then you must choose the right. There is no doubt in my mind that if you choose the right all your problems will be fixed you will go far. If I had to give anyone advice it would be this because choosing the right will help you. Choosing the right will help you go far.

Class Evaluation

This class overall was cool. I liked the quotes we were taught as well as the help we got when we researched medical careers. I think if I could I would try to get another class with Mr. Haymore. He is a fun, nice, smart and kind teacher. I am glad I got this class it was fun to work with computers.

If I were to point out a few things I did not like about the class was when people disrespect him. He tries his best to teach us lessons and some people do not care at all. They behave disrespectfully towards him. Also I think we should have done more coding that was fun but we only started doing it near the end of the year. If we were to do more of that then I think more people would enjoy the class.

I think a way to improve the class would be to have it be more interactive. We should learn codes and web design, stuff like that. I do love the medical careers and quotes but this is a computer class so I think we should in addition to that do other stuff.  I think this because it is important to try to improve all your skills on a computer so you wont be clueless.

The highlight of the class was probably the ctr project because I not only got to learn more about what being ctr means but I also got to work with one of my classmates, which was fun. I think their should be group coding projects, I think that would be a cool assignment. Maybe if we were taught more code we can try to invent our own game I think that would be really fun.

I think I did do well in this class. Although some things were easy and most of it was typing reflections, I still tried my best to do good. If you don't try your best then what is the point in trying at all. You should give a hundred percent if you expect to get a hundred percent. That is why I always tried to do my best.

I am trying my best to read my goals. The most important thing is to know what you want. If you don't know what you want then what are you going to do. You are just going to be wondering around aimlessly. Like one of the quotes we learned said if you have no direction or no destination you are just going to be going in circles and never move forward or succeed.

I feel like after being in this class for two semesters you have to be ctr. You are taught every time you walk in to be ctr and to try your best. Like he said many times you cannot do wrong and feel right it is just impossible. This is a great class to not only get better computer skills but also improve you're character, I am glad I got the opportunity to take this class. 

The ultimate choice is to be a CTR person - to always choose the right 24/7

The only choice in life you truly have to make is whether or not you are a ctr person. If you choose that then all other choices will be made for you. If you choose the right then you will always know what the right thing to do is. If you decide to not be a ctr person then you are not going to go down the right path. You can only choose the right in order to life a good life. You can not choose the wrong and feel right, it is impossible. If you choose the right then you don't need to worry about choices that will come to you because it's already answered. You will choose the right choice. If you decide to be a ctr person then any choice that comes to you will be easy you will not hesitate to choose the right. You have to be a ctr person 100% of the time. You have to commit totally or else you are not a true ctr person. You cannot choose the right 90% of the time and the other 10% choose the wrong. That is not how it works you have to commit. It is easy to choose the wrong what is hard is being a ctr person 100% of the time. If your friend tells you to steal with him you don't hesitate and you say no. It does not matter if he is your friend he is making you choose the wrong. There is no situation where choosing the wrong is good. You must do good to feel good. You cannot do bad and feel good, it is impossible.

After reading this Chinese Proverb one can realize that character is the most important thing in life. What makes a good character is a good person, someone with integrity, dignity, and honesty.  You are able to know who you are with character.  You know your morals and values.  A beautiful character can change lives and change the world.  That is what this Chinese Proverb is saying.  A beautiful character has the ability to create peace in the world. The only people who truly have a beautiful character are those with a good heart. If you have a bad heart then your character will be bad and with no beauty. If you choose the right thing one hundred percent of the time then it proves you have a good heart. With that it will show you have a beautiful character.

Yoga Therapist

Duties and responsibilities: Physical therapists help patients who are recovering from injuries, illnesses, and surgery. They work with patients to help them regain movement, their momentum, their contentment and manage pain. This can be done in a hospital, nursing home, rehabilitation center, or a clinic. Besides working with patients they also have to fulfill their office duties, such as ordering supplies, answering phone calls, taking appointments, calling patients, and helping complete and file insurance paperwork.

Salary: $40,970

Education: to become one you must first have a yoga teaching qualification, you must also have had completes an approved yoga therapy course; if you want to regularly practice yoga, and you must have a high level of physical fitness and understand medical terms. To become an effective yoga therapist you should have good communication skills, motivation skills, and awareness over your clients.

Demand: Surprisingly it has been projected that by 2020 the need for this profession will have a growth of over 30 percent.

Upon completing my research on this profession I have come to the conclusion that I wish to maybe follow this path because of it’s high demand and what they do. 

“A man without a goal is like a ship without a rudder.”

A ship will always be moving because of its propeller, but without the rudder the ship has no clue where it’s going. Someone who has no goals in life will keep going but they will have no idea what they are doing. Without a rudder you are going down a path you cannot see. IF you go down a path you cannot see you will not know if the path is good or bad. You need to set goals for yourself and realize what you have to do in order to succeed. If we want to get through then you must realize your potential and set goals for yourself. With goals you have direction you know where you want to end up.  They will guide and steer your life to a positive or negative direction. You want them to steer you in a positive direction or you will get lost. You need to control your goals to lead you in a good direction   just like a ship, you control the rudders. If your goal is to get a good car then you have to know what direction you must go in order to get that new car. If you don't know what you're doing you will never succeed.

Memorial Day Weekend

On this years Memorial Day weekend I, sadly, did not do much. My cousins visited and slept over for the weekend and we also visited our grandma, which we hadn't seen in awhile. I did not go out much other than that except to maybe run some errands. I did not meet anyone new, probably because I didn’t even go out. While I stayed in, my cousins and I did have fun. We played some games, watched a few movies and shows. Basically we were couch potatoes, we didn’t go out a lot. Once they did leave I did have to buckled down and do some homework. Sadly I did have quite a lot but at least it's the last couple of weeks only a few days left. Today is Wednesday now that means only seven more days of school and then we’re finally off to summer vacation.

“When a deep injury is done us, we never recover until we forgive.”

Forgiveness is a very strong word, which is easier said than done. It means you stop feeling angry and resentful toward someone who might have offended you or hurt you in anyway. If someone does you wrong your first reaction is to think of a way to get them back. Have you ever just stopped before and thought to yourself, why? Why do you have to get someone back, how is that going to make you feel better. It won't, it won't help you feel better. The only true way you move on is by forgiving, if you cannot forgive then resentment is still in your heart. If you have resentment then you will not better yourself. With that hate in your heart you will just keeping become more and more hateful. If someone does you wrong, say break something. Trying to get them back won't do you any good, it won't bring back what broke. The only way to move on and get over it is by forgiving.

Memorial Day

Memorial Day has an unclear origin story, some believe numerous communities started the memorial gatherings. Nevertheless, It is an American holiday that started in 1971 as an event to honor Union soldiers, who had died during the American Civil War but after World War I, it was extended to include all men and women, who died in any U.S. war or U.S. military action. So now officially it is known as a day in May to set aside in recognition of those who have fallen while in active military service (unofficially it is a day that marks the beginning of the summer season). Originally it was called “Decorations Day” and was observed on May 30 but recently it was changed and is officially observed on the last Monday in May. Some ways one can celebrate Memorial Day is by heading to a parade and supporting those who have fallen, participating in a “National Moment of Remembrance” honoring those who were lost, decorating with American flags your neighborhood, or just thanking a veteran for their service. All of these examples can be great ways to honor Memorial Day.  I personally will decorate with American culture, that is how I will honor Memorial Day. I think memorial day is very important because it makes us realize how important the military is. They are the people who put their lives on the line in order to protect us. Without them who knows where we would be.

 

“Dare to do right”

Today the quote that will help you live a good life is actually a dare provided by Rex D. Pinegar, will you accept? He is daring you to do something good, not something foolish. In life the only dares you should every accept are dares that make you choose the right. For example, say someone dared you to never be late to school for the rest of the school year that is a good dare it is helping you be better by getting to school on time. An example of a bad dare would be if someone dared you to ditch school with them, now that is a bad dare. You should only accept good dares. Those who dare you to do bad things are fools and not worthy of being your friend. They are fools just like you if you choose to accept their bad dares. Never choose the wrong always choose the right, those words are what you should live by and you don't have to listen to me. But Rex Pinegar is daring you to do the right, you don't want to back down so accept and choose the right.

Ultrasound Technician

Duties and responsibilities: Ultrasound technicians usually work at physician offices, clinics or hospitals. There they do a number of things such as adjust equipment for specific procedures, take video recording of ultrasound images, and inform the physician for diagnostic purposes.  The duties of an ultrasound technician vary depending on the work environment , some look at fetuses and others look at veins.

Salary: $70,880

Education: All your require is some formal training and an Associate’s degree, diploma or certificate; which should take around 1 to 2 years.

Demand: It has been projected that the need will grow by a whole 26 percent.

After researching this career path way this seems like a very viable option. With the average pay and the low education needed I feel like this would be a good option to go with.

Brook

In a short video we saw a girl by the name of Brook stood tall, literally. In the video she talks about how sometimes she's bullied because she is six feet tall and towers over many people. She always sticks out in the crowd and because of this she is ridiculed. Nevertheless that does not stop her she does not care if she is made fun of she doesnt do wrong and retaliates. She helps her friends follow the right path and never lets them do a wrong thing. She is an example of how even if your stand alone you can still stand proud.

“Dare to stand alone.”

This wonderful statement comes from a previously quoted author, Thomas S. Monson. In today's post the statement is daring us to do something, will you accept the dare? He dares us to stand alone, now this does not mean to be mean to others or to push everyone away so that your can be alone. This statements is saying be brave enough to stand up for what your believe even if everyone is against you. Your beliefs are good and righteous, hopefully, but others may not think the same way. If your are in a crowd of people and they start to do stuff that is inappropriate, bad, maybe even illegal, what would you think. You would think, “ that's not cool”, and you're right it isn’t. Your must tell your friends that that’s not a good idea and if they start telling your stuff like, “stop being lame” you just suck it up and tell them “if being lame keeps me out of trouble I don’t mind” and walk away. If your cannot help those who are headed in the wrong path, then you cannot hang out with them. If your hang out with them all that will do is cloud your judgement. Remember it might be scary but don’t give in. It is better to stand alone and do right then to be part of a group that does wrong.  

North Korea

Recently in a couple of my classes the topic of communism has arose and with that in one class we saw a documentary about North Korea. North Korea’s political views are influenced heavily by communists. Before Korea split in two they were not communistic, it was not until after World War II and Korea split into North and South did North Korea became a communist country. After the war and the division of Korea North Korea became dominant and tried to overthrow South Korea, they failed. South Korea disagrees with the ideology of North Korea they made communism illegal. Communism may seem a good political view, but it's all about perspective. Communism, for those in power, might seem good but for the lower classes it is a nightmare. Your have no freedom what so ever. Everything is owned by the government, nothing is yours. Those in lower classes have to follow their rule or die, that is why communism is terrible. An average person starts to learn about their dictator at a very young age. They are taught only that their master is the greatest and nothing else. They have no internet, no books other than the ones who teach about the same topic, and no media outside of their country. This means they have no idea about anything outside of their country. They are brainwashed and praise their dictator without hesitation, they have no clue of the horrors they live through. This would not be an ideal spot to visit.

“If I’ve got correct goals, and if I keep pursuing them the best way I know how, everything else falls into line. If I do the right thing right, I’m going to succeed.”

This quote by Dan Dierdorf helps you further understand the true purpose of the goals you make for yourself. Everyone has their own ambitions if they are wrong then you will not succeed in life. To have a good life then you must have good goals, you must aspire to become great or to do great. If you keep pursuing good goals the right way then you will succeed. Everything you do other than that will fall into place. This applies to everyone who has goals, you need to make sure the goals you have are the correct goals,l any other goals will just lead you in a path to failure. If you pursue these goals of yours the best and right way you know then you will be able to succeed and achieve them. If you do these goals right then everything else you need will fall into place. If your goal is to get a specific job but you can't because you don’t have enough money to go to school. You keep fighting, you get a lower job to raise money enough to get you through school, then you get the job you want and you get paid enough to live your life fully and without regrets. If your goal is to get a high grade in a class. Then you go to tutoring, you get extra credit, you do something to try to achieve your goal but you don’t give up. You pursue your goals no matter what, correctly and the best way your know, then your will succeed. Your succeed and every other need your have will fall right into place.

Senior Care Technician

Duties and responsibilities: They aid doctors, nurses and other medical professionals by looking out for patients and taking notes on their care. Some help monitor food, clothing, and help them bathe. In addition some will be required to monitor blood pressure and heart rate as well as temperature. With all that they also help promote good health to the patients.

Salary: $25,710

Education: To become one you require a certificate in nursing assisting, some may require on-the-job training. It does not require much to become a care technician.

Demand: It is projected that since 2014 the need for nursing assistants will increase a whopping 18 percent as of 2024, which is higher than average.

The reason I chose to research this career pathway was because I am going to take health courses that will lead me to possibly become this. I do find it interesting but I am not dead set on this career. I am interested in other careers but I do see this career as a viable option.

With these four tips by Mr. Riggs you can go far in whatever you choose to do in life. The reason of how these four tips can help you is easily said. These four tips can help you choose the path you wish to go on. This helps you decide what career you might choose and what life you will be living. Firstly, in life no matter what you will  always have to work hard because nothing will come to you easily or without work. Those who do not work hard will be lazy, self-centered and uneducated; they will be left behind by those who choose to better themselves through hard work. You must work hard but not at something you do not want to do. Do what you love to do, if you do something because you're forced to or for some other reason you will definitely grow to hate it and not want to do it. You will just live a miserable life. Thats why its important to chase after your passion. Speaking of chasing something you shouldn't chase after is money. Money is not the answer to all of life's problems. You cannot just get money and fix everything. Lastly, work hard to serve others. You mustn’t be selfish those who are selfish won't go far. If you help others others will help you and you will move up and become better. You must always work hard at whatever your passion is. Don't go into a job just because you can make a lot of money doing it you'll just grow to hate it and want to quit. Finally, never forget to be selfless those who are not will be despised and put down. Whatever career you choose make sure you follow these four tips if you don’t you will likely fail. Remember work hard ant what you love and not what pays more and be selfless.

Demand: It has been projected that from 2014 to 2024 the demand for physical therapist will grow by a whole 34% (this is higher than the average increase for a job).

I really think this job is cool, I enjoy helping people get better and teaching them how to get better. Helping people get back on their feet after a problem would be a great career option for me. I think that in the future this is a career choice I would gladly follow. It is not that difficult and the pay is not bad.

“In any moment of decision, the best thing to do is the right thing.”

If you do not live by these words you are living your life wrong. You must always do the right thing because it not only will benefit others it benefits you. It is easy to do the wrong thing but that is not the right way to live. If you're walking behind someone on the street and you see they drop their wallet without noticing. You only have one choice you must return it because it is the right thing to do. You will not only help them but you are helping yourself. You are making your life better by choosing the right. This is an important lesson you can learn and the only way to learn is by doing it. When you are in any situation take one second to think and try to remember this quote. You can always easily do wrong but you will not gain anything, you will loss your good conscious. This quote will teach you how to live your life right, do the right thing in any moment. If you do the right thing your heart will be full of joy, knowing that you did the right thing and helped others, not just yourself. You must always remember that in any situation no matter how small the best thing to do no matter what is always the right thing.

“Nothing is ever gained in doing what’s wrong”

This student success statement is a very straight forward and to the point. It is telling us that we all have to follow the right path and not go down the wrong path. It is telling us that we need to always do and choose the right thing because when we do not want anything bad to ever happens to us. When we are doing wrong things we aren’t gaining anything we are just doing the wrong thing and that can lead to getting in trouble or having consequences that we don’t want. For example when someone cheats on a test they aren’t gaining anything. They are going to get a good score on the test but we don’t gain any of the knowledge required because they didn’t understand the test. Also you are very likely to get caught and if you are you will have huge consequences which will not help you gain anything but you will lose your chance at having a good life.  We need to always do the right thing or else we won't ever gain anything. If we do good then we will start gaining but you will never get anything because you are doing the wrong thing. There is never a good reason to choose the wrong, you must always do good and choose the right.

Pathologist

Duties and responsibilities: Medical pathologists are physicians who diagnose and study diseases. Pathologists mainly examine body fluids or specimens, including blood, urine and bone marrow, all this to study and determine if they have a disease and what it is. They also may conduct toxicology tests seeking the presence of illegal drugs and poisons, run a hospital blood bank and test patients' immune functions to detect allergies and toleration of transplant organs.These are but a few of the duties of a pathologist.

Salary: $191,098

Education: To become a pathologist one must first get a Medical license;  board certification is optional but often preferred. In addition you will also need completion of medical school, become a M.D. and a residency.

Demand:The job demand is expected to increase 14% in the period between 2014 and 2024.

This job seems cool but for me I don’t find it interesting. This job did not really catch my eye and I’m not going to follow a career I’m not interested in.

“It’s a great moment when someone has character to step up and do the right thing at the right time.”

This quote by Pam Knox, head softball coach in Western Oregon, is very true. I agree with her statement because it truly is great when someone steps up. This is great because it shows true character. If you were playing a sport and you accidentally broke a rule then you would tell truth. Some people will ignore it and just say they won fair and square when they know they didn’t. It is important to follow this because you must always tell the truth. If you do not tell the truth then the guilt will grow inside you and devour you. That is why it is very important to always tell the truth no matter what and also you must do good. If you do both of those then you will most likely live a very good life.

“I have been asked what I mean by ‘word of honor.’ I will tell you: Place me behind prison walls-walls of stone ever so high, ever so thick, reaching ever so far into the ground- there is a possibility that one way or another I might be able to escape; but stand me on the floor and draw a line around me and have me give my word of honor never to cross it. Can I get out of that circle? No, never! I’d die first.”  

This is a very powerful quote. It means that you should always keep a promise no matter what. When you say you are going to do something you need to fulfill your promise. If you want to feel good then you can but only after you accomplish your goal. When you accomplish your goal you feel good because you did good. You can not feel good if you break a promise and do bad its impossible. You must always be your best. Always accomplish your promises it will help in your life. If you promise your mom that you will be home by 9. You have to at home by 8:59. When you do come on time you will feel happy because you kept your promise. If you didn't come home on time you probably would have received consequences because you broke your promise and did the wrong thing.

The Ten Indian Commandments

5. Give assistance and kindness wherever needed

6. Do what you know to be right

10. Take full responsibility for your actions

The reason why these ten commandments are not to give us salvation but to lead us on the right path towards God. They are in place to divulge the true identity of people. Those who follow these commandments are good people. Those who choose not to follow them are by default bad people. We do not choose who is right and who is wrong, we just have the rules to guide us through the right path. We must be honest with ourselves and our fellow man. We must show our true nature whether it be good or bad. We must strengthen our will and the goodness in our hearts. If your true nature is to be good then continue following these commandments. If your true nature is bad then you must change and learn to follow these ten indian commandments. If you can incorporate these ten commandments into your life, for example volunteering, helping others and yourself be better, then you are a good person. If you can’t then you must or else you will not be able to be a good person. If you do you will be rewarded with true prosperity, your life will be full of joy and happiness. If you do not then you will not be able to have those things. So remember always do the right thing never choose the wrong.
