“True independence and freedom can only exist in what’s doing right”

This quote represents the right thing to do. If you do what’s right you will be “free” and “independent” and that is the only way it can happen by doing what is right. The only way to do what right is to know what the right thing is. If you don’t know what the right thing is then you will not do it. You must realize when you’re doing right and when you are doing wrong. You must know when the right thing to do is needed and when the wrong thing to do is needed. The right thing will always be needed and the wrong thing never will. True independence and freedom can only come from choosing right. If you choose the right you will be free to do as you please if you do not then you will be imprisoned. It does not matter if you gain your freedom by doing wrong things, then it would not be true freedom. If you escape from prison then you are not truly free, you will have to be taken back because you chose the wrong thing to do. If you do the right thing then you would not be in prison in the first place because you will have chosen the right things to do.

“They’re only truly great who are truly good.”

This quote tells you who the real greats are in life. In life you could be good at many things, great even but you must only strive to be good at one thing. You must strive to be a good person, this is because those who are truly good are the only ones that are truly great. If you are the best basketball player in your team and you always make your team win the you are great. You are a really good player but that doesn’t mean you're a good person. If you are a really good player in the court but outside of the court you take steroids then you are not truly good because you are cheating and choosing the wrong. If you want to truly be good you need to always choose the right thing and never cheat or commit crimes. This is the only way you can. There are no shortcuts and no cheating you cannot use steroids to become a good person. The only way you can truly be great is through hard work and dedication on being truly good. You cannot do wrong and expect to be good it doesn' work like that.

“Many think that the short term gain will be worth the long term pain, but it isn’t . In addition, using steroids is cheating, and there is nothing worse in sports than a cheater. Don’t do it.”

This quote is telling straight up, do not cheat. Cheating is wrong and should never be done under any circumstances. Even if it is the championship game and your teammates offer you some, you can not take them. It is not okay to cheat, in sports or in anything else. There is nothing worse than a cheater. In life you must always do what you know to be the right thing. If you work hard and do your best then you do not need steroids to win. All you need is your own will, strength, and righteousness to win. What Mr. George Mitchell is telling everyone is that many people believe it is better to go the easy route and to take a short cut. But in the long run it will not be worth the trouble. If you truly want to be a winner and accomplish your dreams then you must do it the right way.

“I won't cheat”

This simple three word statement by Dale Murphy is telling straight forward do not cheat. You should not cheat no matter the circumstances. You must always choose the right or else you will always be looking over your shoulder. No matter what even if you don’t get caught right away you will eventually. Even if you think you got away with it you didn’t the pain and guilt will rot inside you and turn you into a bad person. There is no situation where it is okay to cheat or that cheating is the right thing to do. Doesn’t matter if it makes you better, stronger or faster it is not okay. If you are offered steroids by your teammates because they're scared they can't win without them because you are facing a strong opponent. You must tell them “No, I don’t need any drugs to win. I only need my own strength”. It is because you can never truly win if you doing it by cheating. You must work hard and practice or study or do whatever you need to do to win by yourself.

"character matters most" Character matter the most because you need to be good when it comes down to business. This quote means that you need to be a good person or you wont truly be a man. Whatever you do you must choose the right. You need to stand up and be better than the others. You don't need to get drunk to have fun at all. You don't have to do anything that will endanger your life. When you are choosing the right you automatically become a good person with good character. You don't need tattoos to look good that's what Dale Murphy said. You can be a good person no matter what. If you do wrong you will never be a real man. You must do good in order to be a good person and have character.

This quote teaches us about what Mr. Benjamin Franklin believed, which was, nothing exceeds having a right heart. In other words nothing exceeds having a good nice heart. Having beauty won't bring you anything but jealousy. People will always be jealous of your beauty and won't bring you many friends. Especially if you are beautiful but have a wicked heart then no one will like you. On the other hand if you are ugly but have a kind heart than people will like you. Strength will bring you the same thing if you do not have a good heart. Riches will only be able to buy you material items and won't make you feel good at all. You may think you have it all but really you will have nothing and no one at all. Even if you have money that won't bring your life fulfillment if you have a wicked heart. If you have a kind right heart then all will be taken care of. The only thing that matters is your heart, how you treat others. If you are kind hearted and do whats right everything else will be taken care of. The only thing that you need is a right heart if your heart is wrong and only does bad things then you're whole life will be full of misery. You must always have a kind heart and help others.

This quote by Mr. James Freeman Clarke is telling us that doing right or wrong does not only affect us it can affect others as well. Everything we do in life will have an effect on something else. The only choice you have is whether that effect is going to be good or bad. If you are with your friends and one friend comes up with an idea and says it. He says, “Let's get beer”. What are you going to do? If you agree then you all are doing wrong. If you don't say anything they will go buy the beer and you all are still doing wrong because you did nothing to stop them. If you say “No’ then you are doing the right thing. You are choosing the right and not only you but you are also helping your friends to choose the right as well. The decision you make doesn't only affect you. You have the ability to change people for the better. You can help people become ctr people, you can make the difference.

Ophthalmologist

Duties and responsibilities: Ophthalmologists are a specific kind of doctor who treat illnesses, diseases and conditions that affect the eye. An ophthalmologist also perform eye surgery and treats eye diseases or injuries. In addition they also use therapeutic procedures and carry out biopsies.Ophthalmologists also examine eyes and prescribe contact lenses and glasses.

Salary:  $197,700

Education: To begin with you require a 4 year bachelor’s degree, then you need to complete four years of medical school in addition to a 3 to 8 year internships and residencies. Ophthalmologists must have strong physics and math skills as well as good management and administrative skills.

Demand: From 2014 to 2024, for all physician and surgeon jobs, is is expected to have an increased demand by about 14%.

I don't think I want to pursue the career of a ophthalmologist because I wouldn't want to be working with yes for my whole life. It takes a very long time to become one and I don't think I'm willing to spend that much time to do something I don't love doing.

“The best way to predict your future is to create it.”

This quote is teaching us more than just do good and good will come to you. It is telling us that we must know what we want in the future and to make it happen. If you set goals for yourself you will strive to each them and sooner or later, hopefully sooner, you will reach that goal. You predicted your future already. You set your goal and you knew in the future that that was going to happen. If you want to run a marathon you can’t run it from one day to the next you have to train for it. You must start slow and go up to it. You will have predicted your future. You set your goal and then you know in the future you will accomplish it. We need goals to know what the future holds in store for us. When you set your goal you will mentally see you future. Now you must make your future a reality. That is the true meaning of the quote the best way to know your future is to create your future. If your goals are good then you know your future is good. If your goals are bad then you know your future will be bad. This is why it is important to create your own future, you choose the path you go down. You choose if the path you go down is good or bad.

Operating Room Technician

Duties and responsibilities: They are responsible for various pre-, intra-, and post-surgery duties within a hospital. Surgeons and registered nurses supervise their work. The majority of certified operating room technicians are employed in hospitals, but some also work in outpatient care centers, ambulatory surgical care centers and in the offices of doctors and dentists who do outpatient surgery.  They need to be emotionally stable and quick to respond to a surgeon’s needs during an operation without being told what to do. Certified operating room technicians also need to be conscientious, organized and orderly, and have the manual dexterity to manipulate surgical instruments.  

Salary: $45,940

Education: Graduation from an accredited surgical technology program is necessary to become initially certified as a surgical technologist. Surgical technology programs can be 9-15 month certificate or diploma programs or two-year associate degree programs. Courses for surgical technology typically include broad medical training in anatomy, physiology and pharmacology, in addition to more direct clinical courses in sterilization techniques and surgical instrumentation.

Demand: It has been projected that from 2014 to 2024 the need for all surgical technologists will increase by 15%.

I do not think that I would like to become an operating room technician because they are put under a tremendous amount of pressure. They can not mess up because if they do that might cost them a life.

“Ask yourself is it right or wrong and act accordingly.”

This quote, like many here in this blog, is helping us live our lives with prosperity and goodness. If you feel that something isn’t right then you shouldn’t be doing it. Graham’s quote argues that if you’re in a situation where you feel that something is right then you can do it but if it’s wrong you should not do it. For example if you are helping someone feed the homeless, deep down inside you’ll feel good because you’re doing something right. If you’re helping someone steal then you will be doing wrong and you will feel nothing but bad inside. You must always choose to do something right and never do something wrong. Then you will feel good inside about what you’re doing. If you do good then everything else will fall into place. You must do good to have a good life. If you choose to do bad then you will feel bad. You must always choose the right or else you will end up in the streets regretting all the bad things you ever did.

“Act well your part; there all honor lies.”

This quote by Alexander Pope is very true and insightful one must do things honestly and be honorable. Alexander Pope is trying to say that the only way to honor yourself, is to act well. If you choose to not act well then you will not honor yourself and you will be a disgrace. I agree that by acting well and being true to yourself you will honor yourself. For example, say you are in a basketball team and your team is doing great it has a chance to win league, but you are scared you will lose the final. So you tell you and some of your teammates to take illegal enhancers or steroids to have a better chance of winning. When you finally play your championship game your team wins but later the district finds out you cheated and lose your title. You and your teammates get kicked from the team. You become a disgrace because you did not play well your part you played your part bad. You did a wrong thing, a bad thing for your team. You did not honor your school. Your team, your parents and fans, or yourself. You must be true with yourself and act well in order to bring honor to your name. If you do not you will have nothing but shame.

Nursing Home Administrator

Duties and Responsibilities: Nursing home administrators are specialized supervise clinical and administrative affairs of nursing homes and related facilities. Some of the many duties of nursing home administrators are overseeing staff and personnel, financial matters, medical care, medical supplies, facilities, and other duties as specific positions demand.

Salary: $94,500

Education requirements: To start you will need a Bachelor’s or graduate degree in health services administration. Larger employers may require a Master’s degree as well as a state license. To be a good nursing home administrator you will need to be  able to absorb and interpret large amounts of possibly conflicting information and possessing good communication skills.

Demand: From now, 2017, to 2024 it is projected that there will be a 17 percent growth in employment for this field.

I would not like to be one of these because I would not feel comfortable in people’s homes. I think I would not qualify for this career option.

“If you do what’s right, if you live the right way, you’ll be taken care of.”

This quote is telling us that in order to do have all your needs to be taken care of you must first do what is right. For example, if you find something someone lost then you must return it and do the right thing. If you were to lose something valuable to you then you would want someone to return it to you . Being a kind person will show others how nice you are will want to help you. Like if need something and can’t get it for yourself someone you were kind to might get it for you. Most people wouldn't want to associate with someone who's bad, disrespectful and rude. People want to hang out with friendly people. People who if they  had a choice to help they would. Those are the type of people you want to be friends. Never with someone who's rude and mean. That is why you must be generous, kind and respectful. If you’re all that then people will want to be your friend and help you.

Neurosurgeon

Duties and responsibilities: A neurosurgeon is a medical specialist who treats diseases and conditions affecting the nervous system. They examine, diagnose and surgically treat disorders of the nervous system for patients of all ages. They als oversee and coordinate the efforts of large teams of surgeons and nurses in the operating theater.

Salary: $395,000

Education requirements: Training to become a surgeon requires a 6 to 7 year neurosurgical residency following four years of medical school. You will also need state medical license; optional board certification by the American Board of Neurologic surgery.

Demand: From now, 2017, to 2024 it has been projected that the neurosurgeon occupancy will increase by 14 percent.

I would not like to become a neurosurgeon because I think it is too much schooling to become one. Also you I’ll have people’s lives in your hands I don’t think I would like that.
