Class Evaluation

                    The first semester has finally come to an end and so will the first semester of this class. This class was not all about just computers and typing which is why I think I enjoyed it. This class gave us computer skills as well as skills in your everyday life. Skills that make you a better person, ctr skills. Mr. Haymore gave us knowledge about computers and life all in the few minutes he had with us every other day. I also enjoyed the class as a whole not the class itself but my classmates. In order to have an enjoyable year in a class you have to be able to get along with your classmates because they are the ones who are going to help you whenever you get yourself into a bind. 

                    Personally I can't think of something that I do not enjoy about this class. Yeah sure some people might say Mr. Haymore is a little strict, that he has too many rules. In my opinion I think rules are needed without rules then there would just be complete chaos and no order. We need Mr. Haymore's rules because he is helping us be better students and is hoping that we take the knowledge we get from his class and use it in our everyday lives. 

                    As far as improvements to the class I am not sure how he could. We get all the skills we need from the class and more. If we were to improve it in some way it would just be to maybe change some things he teaches about. Yes it is important all the morals he talks about but also talking about some thing that has to do with our school. Yes, in the beginning we did stuff like that, writing about medical professions, but we stopped doing it after a while. 

                   A highlight that I feel I had was learning Excel on the computer. I know it may not be much but I think its a highlight because I did not know how to use before. To me that was my highlight because I learned how to do a lot and use the features it provides. 

                   I honestly feel like I did not do my best in this class. I think this because it is the first time I have this class. Before I did not know what was required so I did not know how to do the best at everything. Now that I have gone through a semester I know that I can be the best in this class. 

                   With my life planning journal I am looking at it everyday, but I am not writing in it everyday because sometimes I cannot think of any goals. I do try my best although I know that it could be better. I also do not report it everyday I do it every few days and know I should be doing it everyday.

                   I want to be a ctr person. I know that right now I am not but i try to be. I feel if I continue to commit I will be able to become a great ctr person. Mr. Haymore, I know, wants everyone to be ctr and that is the person that is going to help people become ctr. 

"When you tell one lie, it leads to another." 

Honesty is the best decision you can make. When you tell the truth it will stay in your past and everyone will remember you for it. If you tell a lie then it will be in your future and you will be condemned by it. Your life will be consumed by the lies you tell. If you tell the truth then you won't have to remember anything because you know you did not lie. It is always better to tell the truth because some people might not want to know the truth but it is better then lying to their face. That is why honesty is the best policy and lies should never be told. If you start to lie then you will start to lie without even thinking about it because you do it so much. If you tell the truth then you will start telling the truth without even thinking about it because you do it so much. This is why you wan to be a ctr person not a ctw.

"The Sting of the Scorpion"

The sting of the scorpion is a personal story which tells about a young boy who gets stung by a scorpion. He lived in the desert with his parents and was told to always wear shoes when in the sand. One day while on a camping trip he wanted to explore around the desert, he was going to be only a few minutes so why bother putting on shoes. He decided that sandals would work just the same as a pair of shoes. While he was walking in the sand he felt a prick like from a bush on the arch of his foot. When he looked down he realized that it was not a bush but a scorpion. After yelling out for his parents they took him to the hospital. Luckily he was fine but he learned a valuable lesson that day. It was not to never wear sandals but to always listen to your parents and to do the right thing. 

"Always do right"

This quote by Mark Twain is short and to the point. Although it is only three words it is quite powerful. You must always do what is right. This will help you in your life overall. If you do good things good things will happen to you. But you shouldn't do good things because you want something in return. You should do good things because it is the right thing to do. If you always do right then your life will be full of happiness. If you don't always do right then your life will be full of sadness. That is why you want to be ctr all the time. 

World War II

World War II was a global war that lasted six years. The war was fought between 1939 and 1945. There were two main sides, the Allies and the Axis. The Axis was Germany, Italy, and Japan the axis was Britain, France,Australia, Canada, New Zealand, India, the Soviet Union, and the United States of America. World War II started around September 3rd in Europe after the Prime Minister declared war on Germany after a unprovoked attack on Poland.This war was the most widespread war in history, over 61,000,000 died from the allied side and over 12,000,000 died from the axis side. The war did not happen in just one place many places like Russia, Europe, and Africa. Although the conflict began with them a lot of people joined in. After Hitler died and was overrun by soldiers. from America. the United States ended the war when it dropped atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Having agreed on terms and conditions we were able settle the problem and end the war. 

"1. Can people trust me to do what's right? 

2. Am I committed to doing my very best? 

3. Do I treat people the way I want to be treated? 

If the answers to these questions are YES, there is no way you can fail."

These questions are the questions you must ask yourself constantly. They are the rules of life. you must always do what is right. You must always give everything your very all. Finally, you must treat people the way you would like to be treated. These are life rules that should never be broken. If you want to be a ctr person then these rules will help you accomplish that. It is important to always do whats right, if you think about it those three rules are like the ctr rules. You are always choosing the right, you always are trying your best, and you treat others the way you want to be treated. Lou Holtz the person who said that was a very wise man and should be followed.  

Challenges Teens Face Today 

In today's society many teens face big issues in their day to day lives. Issues can be from alcohol and drugs to broken homes. Even school as well as sex and their emotions can be stressful for a teen. Now a days kids need to be aware of issues and have a solution in mind. In my daily life I know that for sure school is an issue I face. I struggle to keep my grades up but I have to do it to succeed. I sometimes stay for tutoring in order to help my grade or also ask for extra credit and see if the teacher could give me some. I also face drugs and alcohol people sometimes offer, but i always refuse. I think being in Mr. Haymore's class helped me. Knowing what a ctr person is I now know what  need to be. I do know I am not at the democracy level yet but that is my goal. I have learned to not hang out with the wrong crowd but I also learned that you must help people. So instead of just leaving the wrong crowd I can help them. I can tell them about being ctr and what they can do to be ctr as well. I think that the thing that teens need the most is guidance. We need guidance, we are young and do not know very much as of right now but that changes as we get older. We need to make sure teens get guidance from the right person. An example of a good role model is Mr. Haymore. He teaches us how to be ctr people, how we can be better students and better people. 

"Physical fitness is not only one of the most important keys to  a healthy body, it is the basis of dynamic and creative intellectual activity. The relationship between the soundness of the body and complex. Much is not yet understood. But we do know what the Greeks knew: that intelligence and skill can only function at the peak of their capacity when the body is healthy and strong."

This quote by John F. Kennedy is telling us that we not only have to be mentally strong you should also be physically strong. We must learn to defend ourselves and become stronger. We know that knowledge is important but what will protect that knowledge, your body. If your body is not healthy and strong then your mind won't be either. You want to eat healthy and have physical activity a few times a week. You should stay in school to make your brain stronger. After you should go to the gym and make your body strong. And all day you should be eating healthy in order to be healthy and not get sick. 

Health Sciences Librarian

Duties and responsibilities: These medical librarians gather medical information from databases and reference sources they research. They provide assistance in locating medical information. Clinical trials, medical treatments or procedures as well as other information that applies to the medical field.  

Salary: $56,800

Education: To become one you need a four year 

bachelor's degree. As well as courses in science and computer science. 

Demand: Their skills are demanded by private companies, public agencies and medical researchers. Although they are needed they are already quite a few and through the next eight years in is projected that their jobs will only increase by 2 percent. 

After researching this profession I do not believe I would become one. Although it is simple to become one just a few years of school I do not see myself becoming one. I do not think I want to be sitting in front of a computer the rest of my life. 

"Kindness is the essence of greatness"

If you want to be great then you must follow that statement by Joseph B. Wirthlin. He figured out that the key to greatness is your kindness. If you want to be great then you must show your greatness through acts of kindness and love. A true great will know this and be kind, because they know that is the only way one will truly achieve greatness. You cannot be great without being kind, it is an impossibility. If you choose not to be kind then in your lifetime you will never be great. On the other hand if you choose to be kind of and always be a ctr person then you will be consider as a great. 

Thanksgiving Week 

Good thanksgiving dinner 

During the thanksgiving break I did a lot of homework. I used my break to catch up on my work and study. We watched a few movies as a family. We went out to my aunts house to see them and have a little dinner with them. For Thanksgiving  I did not go out we stayed. We had a nice family dinner instead of going out. Our plates were full of chicken, mashed potatoes, coleslaw, and biscuits. We also did not forget to give out thanks before our meal. All in all it was a pretty good Thanksgiving. After Thanksgiving I did not go out for Black Friday. Black Friday gets to crowded and many people start fighting. Instead of waking up super early and fighting for deals Id rather stay at home and sleep in. Then after when I wake up I just go online and see if I want to order anything. I usually buy some Christmas presents for my friends and family. I also buy some stuff for myself, that's my present. 

"If it is not right, do not do it; if it is not true, do not say it"

This is a quote that you should live by. There is no point in saying or doing something if it is not the right thing to do. If your friend is stealing something and asked you to join would you join? No of course not because it is the wrong thing to do. If your friend got caught and he mentioned you then would you lie and say no to the police. You would not because you know it is the wrong thing to do. You must be honest in the things that you do and say if you truly want to be a ctr person. In order to succeed in life you must be ctr which means you can not do things that are not right or lie, you must be a good person. 

Thanksgiving 

Thanksgiving is always celebrated on the fourth Thursday of every November (in America) or the second Monday of every November (in Canada). This year it will fall on the twenty fourth in America, it is not only celebrated in Canada and the United States it is also celebrated in several other places of the world. Thanksgiving marks the beginning of the "Holiday Season" as seen by many Americans. This holiday was originally celebrated as a day to give thanks for the blessing of the harvest they had throughout the year. I as well would like to give thanks not to harvest, but to other things. I want to give thanks for 1)my food, 2)my water, 3)my bed, 4)my clothes, 5)my parents, 6)my home, 7) my brother, 8)my phone, 9) that I get to go to school, 10) that I'm not sick, 11) that i have good friends, and finally 12) for the health of my pets.   

"Doing what is right, fair and honorable is more important than winning or losing." 

This quote is very wonderful, I say this because it is true. If you were playing a game with your friend and to win you did it in a dishonest way then it is not really a win at all. If you cheat then you are dishonorable and not fair, you are choosing the wrong. On the other hand if you were to lose but you played fair and had sportsman like behavior the people will congratulate you for trying your best. In doesn't matter if you win or lose what is most important is that you play or do everything in a fair and honorable manner. You must remember to always choose the right. 

"Honesty is the best policy"

This is a very true quote. In your life you will be faced with many issues and the best way to face these things is with honesty. The only thing that will keep you a good person is if you are honest. If you want to be better as a person then the best thing to do is be honest. If you are faced with a decision you must always be honest, if your friend is caught dong something wrong you have to be honest about it and then help your friend choose the right. 

Veterans Day 

Veterans Day is a public holiday held on the anniversary of the end of World War 1 to honor veterans and victims of all the wars fought. In the USA Veterans day officially falls on November 11, but if it ends up being on a weekday festivities will usually fall on the nearest weekend in order to have the most amount of people possible to attend. If it falls on a Saturday then people take Friday off and if it falls on a Sunday then we will have Monday off. Businesses don't have to close down for that day but it is just a sign of respect for them if you do. Other ways you can honor a veteran is by just telling them thank you, volunteer to help injured or homeless veterans, and also you can proudly present your american flag, show your colors. These are just few of the many ways you can honor a veteran and I believe you should. They sacrificed so much for our country for us. They put their lives on the line in order for us to keep our freedom. I think that deserves a holiday, i think everyone should honor and respect veterans for what they did and what they helped us achieve. What they helped us keep.    

"These are three magic keys to have integrity:

1. Have courage to say no. 

2. Have  the courage to face the truth. 

3. Do the right thing because it is right."

This statement is by W. Clement Stone and tells us many wise things. In order to have integrity you must do all the three things above. Integrity is important to have because it makes us better as people. The more integrity we have the better people we will become. The only way we will obtain integrity is by doing the things listed above, which is, being able to say no, facing the truth, and doing what is right. You must  be able to say no to bad things and bad people. You must also be able to face the things that you have done and finally you must always choose the right. If you do then you truly are a ctr person with integrity. An example of integrity is being honest and that is what you want to be.

He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed. (proverb 13:20)

This proverb has a lot of meaning to it. It is telling you what is one of the things you must do to be good. If you want to be wise and good then you must not follow bad influences. If you have a companion that is a fool and makes foolish decisions then you will by nature follow his or her foolish decisions. That is why if you walk with a band of wise men you shall be wise as well. In order to be the best that you can be and not make foolish decisions you must hang out with the right crowd, the good crowd. 

"The best recreation is to do good" 

What this quote is saying plain and simple you doing good is the best recreation you can have. Recreation is when you do something for enjoyment and not for work, you're doing something for yourself and the best way to make yourself feel good is by doing good. In order to be happy and to feel good you must do good because you will never feel good if you do the wrong thing. If you don't know what to do with your free time then why not go do good. 

"Right is right even if everyone is against it; and wrong is wrong even if everyone is for it."

What this quote means is that right is right and wrong is wrong. always. It doesn't matter how many or who is for being wrong it wont change the fact that it is wrong. On the other hand right is right it doesn't matter how many or who is against it. You must be the one who knows the difference between whats right or wrong. It doesn't matter who is with or against you, the decision of right or wrong is yours. You must be the one who chooses the right even if you must do it alone, be the person people can follow.
