Neurosurgeon

Duties and responsibilities: A neurosurgeon is a medical specialist who treats diseases and conditions affecting the nervous system. They examine, diagnose and surgically treat disorders of the nervous system for patients of all ages. They als oversee and coordinate the efforts of large teams of surgeons and nurses in the operating theater.


Salary: $395,000


Education requirements: Training to become a surgeon requires a 6 to 7 year neurosurgical residency following four years of medical school. You will also need state medical license; optional board certification by the American Board of Neurologic surgery.


Demand: From now, 2017, to 2024 it has been projected that the neurosurgeon occupancy will increase by 14 percent.
I would not like to become a neurosurgeon because I think it is too much schooling to become one. Also you I’ll have people’s lives in your hands I don’t think I would like that.
