“Goodness is the only investment that never fails”

What Henry David Thoreau was saying in this quote is  the best investment you can do for yourself is to become better by putting goodness in your heart. If your doing good than you will never have to worrying about anything else you may have done. If you are doing good then you don’t have to worry about getting caught doing something wrong. You would never have to be feeling sorry for yourself or being self conscious about doing something bad. Investing all your time in doing good is the only thing that will never backfire on you. If you invest it other things they can fail, goodness will never fail. This is only true if you invest yourself in goodness. You shouldn’t do it only because it will never fail but because it is something good that you’ll never regret doing. By doing good, none of your privileges get taken away, on the other hand you will gain more respect and more responsibilities. This means you will have more freedom than you previously had. Goodness is the only investment that will never fail you.
