Orthodontist

Duties and Responsibilities: Orthodontics is a specialty within the dental profession. They straighten teeth and also correct bites. They do this by taking x-rays or with plaster molds of the patient’s teeth. They also keep medical records, supervise orthodontic technicians, and create a custom treatment plan for each patient.

Salary: $201,030

Education: To become one you will need to master many skills such as,written and verbal communication, be detail oriented, dexterity, patience and stamina. Other than those you don't require many skills, as for education requirements. To become an orthodontist you will need to have an undergraduate degree, at least, in addition you need a Doctor of Dental Science Degree. Finally, you will also need to have orthodontics residency.

Demand:The projected increase of jobs is believed to be by 18.3 percent, from 2014 to 2024.

I don't believe that I am the right person for this job. I don't have much knowledge about the career but I do not see myself studying and pursuing this career.
